Even though I had already read "Flying" before we began our unit on transportation, I noticed something new. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Donald Crews included several subtle references to his other books. Keep your eyes open for the truck from "Truck", the train from "Freight Train", a school bus inspired by "School Bus" no doubt, and the tugboats from "Harbor". I really appreciate these little things, along with the "I Spy Donald Crews" game. It's like Mr. Crews is sending us a little note of appreciation for being so thoughtful and observant while reading his books. Thank you, Mr. Crews!

Save “Flying” for last
